Narrative Text: The Haunted Chair

Apa jadinya kalo kursi tua di museum berhantu? Di cerita ini seorang turis nekat duduk dikursi "berhantu" dan apa yang akan terjadi selanjutnya? Silahkan di baca sendiri yaaa. Ada juga latihan untuk siswa yang berhubungan dengan cerita berikut ini. Enjoy the story!!!



The Haunted Chair
British Folklore

In a small town in England, there was a museum with many strange things - old paintings, swods, and one special chair. The guide always warned the visitors: "This is the haunted chair. People say if you sit on it, bad things will happen!" Most visitors were too scared to try. But one tourist named Mark just laughed. "Ghost are not real, " he said.

Mark sat on the chair. Everyone gasped. Nothing happened.... at first. But suddenly, an alarm rang. Two museum guards came running. One shouted, "Sir! Please get off that chair!" Mark jumped out, confused. "Why? Is it haunted?" He asked. The guard replied, "No, Sir. It's 300 years old and very fragile. The last person who sat on it, broke it!" 

Everyone laughed. The haunted chair was not cursed. It was just part of the museum. The real danger was not a ghost - it was the cleaning bill. Mark paid for damage and said, "Next time, I will sit on the floor. Safer and cheaper!"

NARRATIVE TEXT - Group Assignment for Class Seven (Part of a House and Things in a Room)

 THE CANTERVILLE GHOST

    Once upon a time, in the English countryside, there stood ancient mansion known as Canterville Cest. The house had a reputation for being haunted, and the local often spoke of the ghost of Sir Simon, who had roamed its halls for centuries. Despite these tales, an American family, the Otises, decided to purchase the mansion and move in.

    The Otis family consisted of Mr. and Mrs. Otis, their eldest son Washington, their daughter Virginia, and the mischievous twins, often referred to as "The Stars and Stripes". They were a practical and modern family, unfraid of the supernatural.


    Upon their arrival, they were greeted by Mrs. Umney, the housekeeper, who warned them about the ghost. The Otises, however, dismissed her concerns. As they settled in, they began to explore the various parts of the mansion.



    The living room was grand, with high ceilings and antique furniture. It was here that they first encountered the infamous bloodstain on the floor, a remnant of Sir Simon's crime. Washington Otis, ever practical, cleaned the stain with Pinkerton's Champion Stain Remover, only to find it reappeared the next morning.


    The dining room was equally impressive, with a long table that could seat many guests. The family enjoyed their meals here, often discussing the pecuilar occurrences in the house. The kitchen was large and well equipped, a stark contrast to the rest of the mansion's old-world charm.



    The hallway was lined with portraits of the Canterville family, including a stern-looking Sir Simon. It was in the hallway that the ghost made his first appearance, clanking his chains and moaning. Mr. Otis, unfazed, offered him a bottle of Tammany Rising Sun Lubricator to oil his chains.

    The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Virginia's room was patricularly lovely, with a large window overlooking the garden. It was in her room that she found a secret oassage leading to a hidden chamber, where she would later have a significant encounter with Sir Simon.



    The library was filled with dusty old books and a large fireplace. It was here that the ghost attempted to froghten the family by appearing as a handless Earl, but the twins thwarthed him with their pranks, such as setting up tripwires and throwing pillows.



    Despite his best efforts, Sir Simon could not scare the Otis family. Instead, he found himself increasingly frustrated and humiliated by their lack of fear and their practical sollutions to his haunting.



    One day, Virginia discovered Sir Simon in a sorrowful state. He confessed to her that he longed for eternal rest but was cursed to haunt the mansion until he could be forgiven for his past sins. Touched by his plight, Virginia agreed to help him.



    She followed him through the secret passage to the hidden chamber, where she prayed for rhis forgiveness. Her pure heart and compassion broke the curse, and Sir Simon was finally able to find peace. He gave Virginia a box of precious jewels as a token of his gratitude.



    The Otis family held a proper burial for Sir Simon, and the mansion was no longer haunted. The bloodstain disappeared for good, and the house felt lighter and more welcoming. The villagers were amazed by the change and began to visit the mansion more frequently.



    Virginia kept Sir Simon's secret, cherishing the memory of her encounter with the ghost. The Otis family continued to live happily in Canterville Chase, their lives enriched by the strange and wonderful experience they had shared.


Group Activities :

1. Create a house map : In groups, draw a map of Canterville Chase. Include all the rooms mentioned in the story (living room, dining room, kitchen, hallway, bedrooms, library). Label each room and add details about what was found there.

2. Short Drama : Write a short play based on the story. Each group can choose their favorite scene and act it out in front of the class. Include dialogues and actions that match the story.

3. Rewrite the Ending : In groups, rewrite the ending of the story. What if Virginia did not help Sir Simon? Or what if there were more mysteries to uncover? Use your imagination!

4. Illustrate the Story : Draw illustrations of important scenes form the story, such as when Virginia finds the secret passage or when she helps Sir Simon

5. Group Discussion : Discuss in groups what makes this story interesting and spooky. What mystery elements did you like the most? How would you feel if were in Virginia's place?

            In Japan there was an old couple that wished for a (1) ..... .They wished for a child of any kind, even if he was only an inch tall. Their wish was granted. They got a child and sure enough he (2) ..... no taller than one inch. They named him Issun-Boshi which meant One Inch Boy. One day Issun-Boshi decided to see the world. His parents wanted Issun-Boshi to have a fun life so they gave him a bowl, chopsticks and a needle he could use as a sword and waved goodbye. When Issun-Boshi (3) ..... to the city, he was taken into care of a nobleman and was a servant for the princess. Issun-Boshi and the princes became good firends. One day on their way back from a nearby temple, they were stopped by a large green demon called an oni. The princess thought she was doomed for surely she could not be saved by a one inch boy. But the one inch boy acted quickly. He climbed the oni quickly and poked it in the tounge with his sword. Issun-Boshi jumped from the demon's mouth just before it turned and (4) ..... The princess was saved! Then she made a wish. "I wish for Issun-Boshi to grow tall." The princess squeezed her eyes shut and then opened them again. But the boy was still one inch tall. Then slowly, inch by inch, Issun-Boshi grew taller until he was the size of a full grown man.                Hey sobat Miss Tuti. Mau berbagi sedikit informasi mengenai tahapan dalam pembuatan Vlog Best Practice - How to Play Rapa'i (Kolaborasi Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Inggris dan Seni). Tahapannya adalah sebagai berikut:

1. Perencanaan
    a. Berdiskusi dengan Guru Seni untuk materi yang sudah dipilih karena disesuaikan dengan materi             yang juga terdapat dalam pelajaran Seni Budaya.
    b. Menentukan jadwal pelaksanaan yang tepat.
    c. Mempersiapkan RPP beserta alat dan bahan yang dibutuhkan.
   
2. Pelaksanaan
    Melaksanakan kegiatan Best Practice Pembelajaran Best Practice untuk Pembelajaran Teks Prosedur dengan Judul How to Play Rapa'i. Kegiatan Kolaborasi antara mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris ddan Seni Budaya.

 BELAJAR DIMANA SAJA, KAPAN SAJA, DENGAN SIAPA SAJA

       Hello, Sobat Miss Tuti semua. Sehat??? Nah, pada kesempatan kali ini saya ingin berbagi informasi tentang salah satu aplikasi pembelajaran besutan dari kemdikbud ne. Yup, Aplikasi Rumah Belajar. Buat teman-teman yang sudah menggunakan aplikasi ini kalian tidak salah pilih, karena aplikasi Rumah Belajar memang memiliki fitur-fitur lengkap yang bisa menunjang kegiatan belajar mengajar, baik bagi guru maupun siswa. Bagi teman-teman yang belum menggunakan aplikasi Rumah Belajar, mudah-mudahan apa yang saya share berikut ini, bisa memberikan pencerahan dan solusi untuk mendapatkan pengalaman belajar yang lengkap dan tidak membosankan tentunya. Here we go.

        Seperti yang sudah saya sebutkan di atas, aplikasi Rumah Belajar memiliki fitur-fitur belajar yang lengkap untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran. Fitur-fitur tersebut adalah: Sumber Belajar, Kelas Maya, Laboratorium Maya, Bank Soal, Edugame. Untuk fitur Sumber Belajar terdapat juga beberapa fitur lain yaitu: Peta Budaya, Karya Bahasa dan Sastra, Wahana Jelajah Ruang Angkasa. Selain itu ada juga fitur PKB dan blog Rumah Belajar. Berikut penjelasan dari fitur-fitur yang sudah disebutkan tadi ya.

        Sumber Belajar merupakan fitur yang menyajikan matei ajar bagi siswa dan guru berdasarkan kurikulum. Materi ajar disajikan secara terstruktur dengan tampilan yang menarik dalam bentuk audio, video dan laman interaktif.

            Kelas Maya merupakan sebuah Learning Management System (LMS) yang dikembangkan khusus untuk memfasilitasi proses pembelajaran virtual atau tanpa tatap muka antara guru dan siswa. Dengan fitur ini, guru dapat memberikan bahan ajar yang dapat diakses dan dibagikan oleh siswa dalam bentuk digital kapan saja dan di mana saja.

            Bermain sambil belajar dengan fitur Edugame Rumah Belajar. Fitur ini menyediakan beragam game interaktif yang dapat dimanfaatkan oleh siswa, baik secara mandiri maupun dengan bimbingan guru atau orang tua. Permainan yang disediakan telah dirancang untuk membantu siswa memahami konsep dasar dari materi yang disajikan.

Berikut ini adalah beberapa fitur tambahan yang ada dalam Aplikasi Rumah Belajar.

1. Wahana Jelajah Angkasa (WorldWide Telescope) merupakan fitur di Rumah Belajar yang dapat membantu pendidik dan peserta didik untuk melakukan penjelajahan luar angkasa secara virtual (maya) dengan penampakan 3D.

2. Karya Bahasa dan Sastra merupakan fitur yang menyediakan buku-buku digital (e-book) mengenai bahasa dan sastra untuk jenjang pendidikan SD/MI, SMP/MTs, SM/MA dengan kategori prosa, puisi dan literatur yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk mendukung literasi teknologi.

3. Peta Budaya merupakan fitur yang diperuntukkan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan belajar siswa dan guru di sekolah maupun masyarakat yang ingin mengetahui keanekaragaman budaya Indonesia. Layanan ini memberikan alternatif media pembelajaran tentang kebudayaan Indonesia yang sesuai dengan tuntutan perkembangan TIK.

4. PKB merupakan fitur di Rumah Belajar yang dapat memfasilitasi pelatihan online bagi pendidik dalam memanfaatkan TIK, salah satunya yaitu pelatihan Pembelajaran Berbasis TIK (PembaTIK)

5. Buku Sekolah Eletronik (BSE) merupakan fitur yang menyediakan buku ajar elektronik untuk jenjang pendidikan SD, SMP, SMA dan SMK.
